Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website. By placing an order through Alfresco Abode, you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below.

1. About Us

Alfresco Abode is an online retailer of indoor, outdoor furniture and home decor. We operate on a dropshipping model, meaning we do not stock or manufacture the products ourselves but facilitate the delivery of goods directly from third-party suppliers to customers throughout the UK.

2. Eligibility & Formation of Contract

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts to use this website and make purchases. A contract of sale is only formed once full payment is received, your order is accepted, and you receive a confirmation email stating the order has been processed.

3. Products and Availability

  1. All products displayed on our website are subject to availability. As a dropshipping business, products are supplied by third parties. We make every effort to display accurate information, but we cannot guarantee availability or delivery timeframes if impacted by our suppliers.
  2. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. We endeavour to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products on our website, however, as different computers display colour tones differently we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of the pictures or photographs that are shown.
  3. Any products identified as ‘End of Line’ in the product description are discontinued items of which we will not get any more stock. This means that we will be unable to source parts or exchange this product for a new equivalent in the event of a problem. This is reflected in the price of the products. All products are new and sold as new. This status and discount does not affect your statutory right to a refund in event of dissatisfaction.

4. Ordering Process

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation via email. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the product(s) to you. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, including due to pricing errors or supply issues.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in GBP. Prices are subject to change without notice. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel any affected order. We accept payment by credit/debit card and bank transfer. Orders are not confirmed until payment is received in full.

6. Shipping & Delivery

We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only. Estimated delivery timeframes are typically as shown on our website but may be longer for bulky or custom items. Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed. If you have a query regarding delivery timeframes, please get in touch with Us. We are not liable for any delay once products are with third-party couriers. Risk in the goods passes to you upon dispatch. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the goods. Missed deliveries or redelivery attempts may incur additional charges.

7. Returns & Refunds

  • Consumer Right to Cancel (Distance Selling)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing as private individuals (not businesses) online are entitled to cancel their order within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery, without giving any reason.

To exercise the right to cancel, customers must notify us in writing (via email) within the 14-day period.

IMPORTANT: This right only applies to unused, unopened, and resellable items. Items must be returned in their original packaging, without any signs of use, damage, or assembly.

  • Exclusions from Returns

We do not accept returns or cancellations for:

  • Products made to customer specifications or clearly personalised
  • Items that have been assembled, installed, or used
  • Products not returned in original packaging
  • Business or commercial orders (non-consumer)

  • Return Costs & Responsibility

Unless the product is faulty or misdescribed, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery method as we are not liable for lost or damaged returns.

Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until received and inspected by us.

  • Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will issue a refund within 14 days of receipt.

We reserve the right to deduct any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods (e.g., damage, signs of use, missing parts).

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Faulty or Damaged Items

If you believe your item is faulty or damaged, you must notify us in writing within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
We will assess the issue and may offer a replacement, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

No returns or claims will be accepted outside of this 48-hour window unless the fault is proven to be inherent.

  • No Warranty or Guarantee

All products are sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee beyond statutory consumer rights.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of revenue, business, or opportunity.

  • Non-Delivery

Claims for non-delivery must be made within 14 days of dispatch notification.
We will not be liable for losses resulting from delivery delays caused by third-party couriers or events beyond our control.

  • Legal Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched for a full refund. Once an order is dispatched, it must be returned following the returns procedure.

9. No Warranty Disclaimer

As a reseller, we do not offer any warranties or guarantees on products. Products are sold as-is, without any express or implied warranty beyond your statutory rights. We are not liable for any damage resulting from improper assembly, use, or installation. Any manufacturer warranties (if applicable) are passed directly from the supplier to the customer. Alfresco Abode is not responsible for manufacturing defects or post-purchase wear and tear. We recommend careful inspection prior to use and compliance with all manufacturer instructions.

10. Use of Goods

Products are for domestic use only unless otherwise stated. We accept no responsibility for failure due to commercial, contract, catering or high-traffic usage environments.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising out of the sale of any product shall be limited to the purchase price of that product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profit or business.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, is the property of Alfresco Abode or its suppliers and may not be copied or used without written permission.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to courier delays, supplier failures, extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

14. Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy]. By using our website, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of the site constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The updated version will apply to all orders placed after the effective date of the change.
